Guides are funny things:
They hang around waiting for your every move, to guide you when you ask
But do you ask? Most of the time the answer is no
So why do they stay?, stay there waiting to be called upon
Waiting and watching your every move
Then when you ask, they help by guiding you in whatever way they can
They may nudge you in a direction, arrange for you to encounter someone, play a song on the radio, draw your attention to a newspaper article, or simply talk to you
All the time patiently trying to get you to hear them, trying to give you the answer to the question you posed them
Do you hear them? Mostly no. Does this discourage them? Never. They know their role, which they have willingly accepted, is to answer all requests for help. They are there to help you when you’re down, help you when you’re happy, help you when you’re sad.
They answer all requests, answer them honestly, answer them sincerely and without judgement, answer them in the way that progresses you on your path.
It may not be the answer you are looking for, but you know it is the answer which will best suit you and keep you on your path. An answer that will help you unlock the experiences you are here on the Earth to encounter. This may not be the same as the help you seek, but fear not, they will only guide you on your path. Guide you towards the experiences your soul seeks.
So why are guides funny things? Not funny haha, or funny ridiculous, but funny unusual. For can you imagine being them? They do not judge, they do not scold, rather they help with love, with the universal divine energy that is the Spirit world.
When you think about that you can think of no better friend you could ever have. A friend who is always with you, always on your side and will not stint, nor complain, judge nor reprimand. Above all that, you know they will be there to welcome you when you return to Spirit.
What better ally and friend can you ever have ! Embrace them, welcome them, ask them questions and above all listen and watch for their words of wisdom.
