The sun is out and beautiful today.
All around me I see renewed life
The crocuses pushing through the ground
the birds singing high in the sky
The sea: so still, so calm, so refreshing
blowing away the cobwebs of winter
As I sit here in my garden, taking a well earned rest,
My thoughts turn to the life all around me, renewed after its winter rest,
The crocuses pushing through the ground; the buds bursting on the bushes,
the beautiful sun caressing the lawn, the birds in search of food
And then of course that terrible pang, the remembrance of someone dear
who would have shared this moment here and held it all so dear
Oh why oh why can’t they be here, for just one moment more
my heart cries out, I miss them so, it hurts so much..
But then I smile as I shed a tear,for I know we are all one,
that everything is made from the one, as we are made as well
so when I see the beauty around, I cannot cry no more
For although you’re gone, you are still here. For you are everything I see
